The problem
An assistant's memory lives inside the assistant
If you switch providers, you lose it; if the provider changes its policy, the policy changes for you. The language model is interchangeable: one today, another tomorrow, and the day after one that runs on your own machine. What should not change, move house or get trapped inside anyone's product is what you have learned.
Hence the principle behind the product: HybridMeM is not the processor; HybridMeM is the memories. It is a memory that exists outside any model, with a structure of its own (types, links, versions, weights), and that serves the person and the agent at the same time.
What it is
The project in four ideas
In practice, it is a manager for notes, tasks, contacts and calendar that also knows how to talk to agents.
Typed, versioned, interlinked memories
Everything is a memory with its shape: a note, a task, a goal, a contact, an event, and whichever ones you define. None is overwritten: every change is saved as a new event, with its author and its version, and you can go back to what it said before. And they do not live on their own: those used together are joined by a synapse, which search follows.
Whichever intelligence you choose
Swap the model whenever you like; the memory stays with you. HybridMeM speaks the Model Context Protocol, so any assistant that understands it can use your memory. And the whole application works without AI: AI adds to it; it does not hold it up.
Confidentiality, by levels
Three levels (Vault, Enclave and Managed), so that you are the one who decides which memories no one else will be able to read. The first two are decided and documented, but not yet implemented: today the prototype runs at the equivalent of the third, on a database that you manage.

Where it runs today
On your computer, on a PostgreSQL database that you manage: your data lives wherever you put it. It is developed in Spain, within the European framework (GDPR, AI Act, Data Act), with those regulations as a design requirement.
